Tobias Spichtig is deeply influenced by the environment which each work is created in. He captures timeless moments that we as the viewer create instant and intimate connections with. In his Ghosts sculpture series, Spichtig applies resin to bodiless garments, creating figures and objects that recall Alberto Giacometti and thrift-store glamour at once. These formations of everyday objects reduced from any excesses, highlight a primary concern being that of self reflection on voids and emptiness.
