Piotr Bury Łakomy’s artistic practice explores the complex relationship between the human body, architecture, and the environment. His work is characterised by a synthesis of organic and industrial materials, challenging conventional boundaries between the natural and the manufactured.

A solo exhibition of Łakomy’s work, Garden Exit, took place at Contemporary Art Centre – CAC, Vilnius, in 2025.

Piotr Bury Łakomy (b. 1983 in Poland) lives and works in Poznań, Poland.

Education

He graduated with an MA from the Institute of Fine Arts, Zielona Góra, in 2008.

Łakomy's work has been included in recent group exhibitions at Marcelle Alix, Paris (2026); Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw – MSN (2025); TJ Boulting, London (2024); BRAUNSFELDER, Cologne (2020); Fondation Cartier, Paris (2019); and Kim Contemporary Art Center, Riga (2018).

Piotr Bury Łakomy’s work is part of public collections. These include the Arsenal Gallery, Białystok; Art Collection Telekom; Collezione Agovino, Napoli; Filiep Libeert Collection; Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; Stavanger Art Museum, Norway; and Zachęta – National Gallery of Art, Warsaw.
