Clémentine Adou
Clémentine Adou’s work falls within an economy of production and means, through procedures of subtraction and covering. Political problematics are thus disseminated in Clémentine Adou’s work in forms that question the process of visibility. Through displacements and emphasis, it is this mechanism that her works reveal – all the more so in that they call for a certain uncluttering of the gaze, in a contemporary society structured by power, surveillance, and consumption.
In 2024, Adou received the 25th Fondation Pernod Ricard Prize.
