This is a unique work, hand-signed by the artist on the back of the painting.
Paula Baader’s paintings show a fine line between abstraction and figuration. Although abstract at first sight, a closer look will often reveal shapes of recognition and figurative elements. She explores the nature of places and memories, often from a bird’s-eye view. Holborn, Victoria Park, the Thames: Paula Baader has lived in London and Hamburg since 2013 and translates concrete, location-specific associations, memories and recordings into delicate paintings marked by fine lines, dissolving colour, and wide spaces.
