Robin Rapp
Robin Rapp works on serial, large-format oil paintings. He is particularly interested in the disturbing factor of a painting, creating a state of tension and thus an ambiguity on the canvas. Rapp’s works are often based on collages from which he tears out figures and repeatedly places them in new contexts. He also uses references from his past, childhood and imagination – they all come together in his work to form a new reality.
