Manuel Stehli

Manuel Stehli’s paintings refuse a specific placement in time and space. From figurative depictions that hover between the quiet and intimate, to landscapes that evoke memory and interest in shape and form, they don't represent events but rather states. Instead of confronting the viewer with information, Stehli allows us to ‘fill in’ the silences posed by these subtle and powerful pictures.
